Primos has introduced their range of trail cameras in the name of “Truth” cam. They have six cameras with variety of features to give your hunting experience an edge over the others.
The Truth Camera
- Truth Cam 35 is a simple camera with 3 MP resolution and 40 ft of detection range with a very slow trigger function of 1.5 seconds.
- Ultra 35 is slightly better at 1 second and 4 MP resolution. It is fitted with Camo LED. Ultra 46 HD is 7MP high definition capture camera with a jaw dropping 100 ft of detection area! With 0.7 seconds of trigger function, 9 months of battery life and 46 LED mounted Infrared detection it is a great buy.
- It has an 80ft of detection range and uses 60 LEDs. Cam El Blackout is an invisible camera with 60 “no glow” LEDs and 35ft of range but gives a resolution of 4 MP only. Supercharged Blackout is the best camera in terms of features. Supercharged blackout justifying its name can be fitted with 24 batteries extending the duration of your adventure by three times.
- It combines the 7 MP resolution, slot for 24 batteries and invisible surveillance with a decent 55 ft of flash range.
Best Primos Game Cameras
1. Primos 6MP Bullet Proof Trail Camera
Primos 6MP Bullet Proof
While the camo look works with a couple of cameras, some hunters prefer a straight up green for their casing. Not only is this low priced camera easier to hide, but it’s also one of the lowest priced in all of the industry. It banks on its 6MP camera with 13 low glow LED’s to take lush pictures, and it does not disappoint. The best way to mount it is in an open environment around trees, where it becomes almost undetectable to the naked eye. Setup out of the box only takes minutes, and buyers won’t even need to address the manual when handling the advanced options.
With it using a slide switch mechanism for the settings, everything is pretty clear without needing reference. Without all of the fancy bells and whistles, the 8AA batteries needed for this model will last a good while before needing to be replaced. This is also a compact trail camera, with dimensions of 4.8x2.2x4.2 inches and a weight of only 5.6 ounces. Weighing less than a box of cereal, this is one of the best low priced cameras you can buy.
2. Primos 12MP Proof Cam 02 HD Trail Camera
Primos 12MP Proof Cam
Low priced and probably the best the company has to offer is the Primos 12MP Proof Cam 02 HD Trail Camera with Low Glow LEDs. This powerful camera uses Cam46 Matrix technology to deliver stunning photos and video regardless of the setting. The casing is the best the company has ever created and is a true camo look, not the fake one that a lot of other makers put out there. Product dimensions come out to 5.1x2.8x3.4 and the model only weighs 10.1 ounces, so it can qualify as a smaller trail camera.
This is great news considering that in the smaller size buyers won’t lose any power and get the full feature set. If you have a tripod setup it is ready to go out of the box, requiring an installing in the single hole on the bottom side. Video from the camera in daytime is full color while at night it is a crisp black and white. This is one of the most well designed cameras you can get from Primo, with a really nice amount of hardware in the case. Better than most, this is one trail camera that should be considered by every buyer.
3. Primos Easy Cam IR LED 5MP Game or Trail Camera
Primos Easy Cam IR
The most basic of the basic in their lineup is the Primos Easy Cam IR LED 5MP Game or Trail Camera Black, which also works wonders as a security camera. The case is completely black with no reflection, so hiding it isn’t much of a problem if you get creative. And in adverse condition it will do just fine with its proven weatherproof design. At one of the lowest prices ever for a trail camera, it has the same ease of use as some of the lower tier models in Primos inventory.
No use of the manual is needed, and a simple switch will control all of the major functions of the product. Coverage during day and night automatically changes from within the camera, keeping the camera up to date and using the best filter possible for the job. While other budget cams have limiting hardware, this camera can support an SD card up to 32GB. Buyers will have a hard time filling up all of that space, and it is one of the many reasons why this is an unappreciated camera and a great buy.
4. Primos 3MP Workhorse Trail Camera
Primos 3MP Workhorse
Primos has been in the industry and while and knows how to make top tier cameras, but this one is from their budget line. The low priced Primos 3MP Workhorse Trail Camera is a great solution for buyers that don’t want the latest and the greatest but still want a good camera. It has a 40ft. flash range and uses low glow IR to snap its photos, so although not invisible, there is very little chance that the person or animal will see it going off. And just like in their upper tier models, this one has an early detect PIR sensor combined with a day/night sensor to get you better photos without any of the blur.
The camera will automatically go into the appropriate mode without any user intervention. The camera was put inside a green weatherproof case for this model, and can survive quite a bit of damage over the years. Hunters will need to have 8AA batteries on hand to get this working, but once installed they should last for a very long time. This is on the lighter side of cameras at 10.4 options, so that is another reason to consider the purchase. Low priced doesn’t always mean cheap, and this Primos camera is a great buy.
